Ready Set Let's Go!Redy Set Go

The University of Maine at Presque Isle, Healthy Aroostook, and TAMC are proud to present the REDY...Set...Let’s Go! Youth Triathlon. The triathlon is perfect for beginners and more experience competitors between the ages of 7 and 13.

The triathlon will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s campus, starting at Gentile Hall. The cost is $20 per child. Follow the signs on campus for directions to parking areas. 

Parents or guardians are expected to stay onsite during the race. Safety is of the utmost importance during the event, and you can contribute by making sure your child has the proper safety equipment and by following event guidelines on the day of the triathlon.

Preregistration is required. After registering, participants will receive a pre-race packet with a course map, frequently asked questions sheet, policies and procedures, and more.

Mini-Grant application

Healthy Aroostook is a local coalition that collaborates with community partners in Central and Southern Aroostook.  Much of the work is through education and awareness as well as policy and environmental change in five areas: physical activity, nutrition, tobacco, substance abuse, and chronic disease. Some of the other areas addressed by Healthy Aroostook include Lead and Breastfeeding

We are one of 27 Healthy Maine Partnerships funded through the Fund for a Healthy Maine, a grant from the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a division of the Department of the Maine Health and Human Services. We also receive funding and support from the Maine Office of Substance Abuse. Aroostook County Action Program is the fiscal agent for Healthy Aroostook.  We also partner with MSAD #1 and MSAD #29.
